Peter D Axelrod has practiced exclusively in the area of divorce and family law since 1980.
After taking hundreds of family and divorce related cases to court over the years, Peter has seen firsthand the unwanted difficulties and burdens thrust on clients by the traditional adversary/litigation system. As a result, whenever appropriate Peter encourages clients to use his skills as a divorce mediator and collaborative divorce attorney to resolve legal issues. While not all cases can be settled using a more cooperative approach, when they can the client is generally better off from the standpoint of stress, fees, mitigating problems for children and supporting the relationship with the other parent.
Peter has a Master's Degree in Counseling & Guidance. He is a skilled negotiator and communicator and is committed to understanding the interests and meeting the reasonable needs of each individual client.
