Merle Stolar has practiced law since 1983. She is licensed in Ohio, Missouri, and Arizona. Prior to practicing law, after earning her Master of Education degree, Merle taught for the Cincinnati Public Schools for seven years at Children's Hospital Medical Center. After graduating 6th in her law school class, Merle practiced law in a corporate setting and in private practice in Cincinnati, Ohio and St. Louis, Missouri. In 1987, she earned a Master of Laws degree (Tax) from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri. From 1987 – 1995, Merle worked for the U.S. Department of Treasury, and the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office. In 1996, Merle relocated to Tucson, Arizona where she has been practicing law concentrating her practice in family law.

With Merle's advanced tax law degree, she is uniquely qualified to deal with high asset, business, and tax issues as they relate to  her family law practice. Merle takes pride in the personal service she provides to each of her clients.
