Marty Jones focuses his practice on real estate, environmental, general business and land use legal matters. He has been rated AV Preeminent, the highest possible rating, by the Martindale-Hubbell rating service since 1995.

Marty handles business matters, including the formation of new companies, company purchase and sales, asset purchase agreements, licensing agreements, product sales agreements and many other business related legal issues. He has negotiated and drafted more than 40 solar power purchase agreements for renewable energy transactions.

Marty’s environmental practice includes issues arising under the Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Superfund (CERCLA & WQARF), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, underground storage tanks, Endangered Species Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Phase I and Phase II environmental due diligence, Brownfields remediation, hazardous materials surveys, Prospective Purchaser Agreements, Notices of Violation, and renewable energy.

Marty’s real estate practice involves all aspects of the purchase, sale and leasing of residential, commercial, and industrial properties, including raw land, office projects, shopping cneters and master planned communities. His practice includes the creation and enforcement of deed restrictions, title insurance matters, surveys, easements, land use regulations. estoppels, financing, non-disturbance agreements and environmental due diligence. 

For more than twelve years Marty assisted the nation’s largest retailer on environmental, land use and real estate transactions in 26 states. 

Marty served for four years as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Arizona, Environmental Enforcement Section, where he was responsible for the management and coordination of potential responsible party investigations at all state Superfund sites within Arizona.
