Biography

I am licensed in both Arizona and Alaska. I focus on estate planning, wills, trusts & POA's; LLC's & corporations; mediation; and residential leases. As for estate planning, I limit my practice to clients whose estates are below the threshold for estate taxes. My objective is to represent clients in a competent and cost effective manner. I strive to make my legal documents simple to read and easy to understand. Most clients no longer need complex estate planning in order to avoid estate taxes and my wills and trusts are designed accordingly. Many clients have found that with the change in federal estate tax laws, their earlier complex estate plans can now be simplified. I work out of my home and meet with clients in their homes. The client reviews and approves all documents in draft form in advance of signing. Most work is performed according to a flat fee agreed to in advance by the client. A fee schedule for standard services is posted on my website. Should the client elect not to hire me, there is no charge for the initial consultation. If the client is dissatisfied with my services, all fees are waived. I feel comfortable mediating a variety of disputes including those arising from elder care, family matters, neighborhood problems, property line and easement issues, animal nuisance complaints, property owner association disagreements, insurance and personal injury matters, commercial disputes, landlord-tenant disagreements, employment issues, small claims matters and the like. I do not handle divorce mediation but will mediate certain post-divorce matters such as child visitation disputes.
